A home base for your project, your class, or your community.
Probed isn't just for founders. CS students, open-source projects, and dev teams use it to talk, ship, and build community — channels and threads, voice rooms for pairing, a public roadmap, and an MCP server that plugs into Claude. Free to start, no card.
Built for technical collaboration
Discord is for gamers, Slack is for internal teams. Probed gives a technical project a branded home — channels, threads, voice, and a public roadmap — with the conversation and the people in one place.
Channels & threads
Organize work the way your repo is organized: a channel per topic, threads to keep deep dives out of the main flow. Markdown and code blocks render the way you'd expect.
Voice rooms
Drop into a voice channel for pair programming, office hours, standups, or a hackathon war room — no scheduling, no meeting links, just walk in.
Public roadmap & ideas board
Let contributors and users steer. A public roadmap and an upvotable ideas board turn 'open an issue' into a conversation everyone can see.
Findable on search
Your public roadmap ships with a sitemap and index-friendly meta, so people searching for what you're building can land on your project — and you can toggle indexing off anytime.
MCP server for Claude
Drive your space from Claude Code and Claude Desktop over MCP — read channels, post updates, and wire Probed into the agent workflow you already live in.
GitHub & Linear, built in
Pipe GitHub issues, PRs, releases, and pushes into channels, and file any message as an issue in one click. Linear, Slack and Discord sync, webhooks, and a customer API ship alongside.
Pipe anything into a channel
Every channel can have an incoming webhook. POST from CI, a cron job, a deploy script, monitoring, or your error tracker — anything that speaks HTTP shows up as a message your whole community sees. It's a Slack-style payload, so most tools work out of the box. Available on Premium and up.

CS students & class projects
Run your group project, study group, or course community in one place — discussion, files, and a voice room for crunch night.
Open-source projects
Give your project a public home where users ask questions, contributors coordinate, and the roadmap is out in the open.
Dev teams & indie hackers
Ship in public with the people who use what you build — feedback, announcements, and a direct line, no support queue.
Hackathons & communities
Spin up a space in seconds, share a link, and get everyone talking — voice rooms, channels, and zero setup tax.
GitHub integration, built in
Install the Probed GitHub App on the repos you choose and issues, pull requests, releases, and pushes stream into the channels you pick. File issues without leaving the conversation — one click on any message turns it into a GitHub issue, with a confirmation link posted back to the channel. Fine-grained, per-repo access; you decide exactly what Probed can see.
Questions, answered
Is Probed free for students and open-source projects?
Yes. The Free plan is $0 forever — 2 text channels, 1 voice channel, and up to 25 members — which fits most class projects, study groups, and small communities. Paid plans start at $19/month when you outgrow it, and members never pay.
Does Probed integrate with GitHub?
Yes. Install the Probed GitHub App on the repos you choose and issues, pull requests, releases, and pushes stream into the channels you pick. You can also file any chat message as a GitHub issue in one click — no setup, with a confirmation link posted back to the channel. Probed also ships a Linear integration, Slack and Discord sync, webhooks with a customer API, and an MCP server for Claude Code and Claude Desktop.
How is Probed different from Discord or Slack for a project?
Discord is built for gamers and Slack for internal teams. Probed gives your project a branded home with a shared roadmap, an ideas and feedback board, threads, and voice rooms — and your public roadmap is search-indexable, so people can actually find your project.
Can people see my project without signing up?
Your public roadmap and ideas board are shareable, search-indexable pages anyone can view — a real front door for contributors and users. The space's channels are invite-based: share a link and people join in one click.
What platforms does Probed run on?
Native desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus a web app you can open in any browser.
Spin up your space in seconds.
Free forever to start. Share a link, and your people are in.
