Overview
Probed is a product of Ginyu LLC ("Ginyu", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Probed desktop app and the probed.chat website (collectively, the "Services"), and how we handle it.
We try to collect as little personal information as possible. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across the web.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), we receive the basic profile information that provider returns — typically email, name, and avatar.
- Content you create: Messages, channels, spaces, invites, and any files you upload through the app are stored so we can deliver the Services to you and the people you invite.
- Billing information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card number — we only receive a customer ID, the plan you're on, and the status of your subscription.
- Operational data: Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps) used to keep the Services running, debug issues, and prevent abuse.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with the subprocessors needed to run the product (described below), or when required by law.
Subprocessors
To operate the Services, we rely on a small set of third-party providers ("subprocessors") that process personal data on our behalf. Each one handles only the data it needs for its specific function, under its own privacy and security commitments. We use the following categories of provider:
- Cloud hosting, database, and content delivery — run our servers, store your account data and the files you upload, and route traffic securely.
- Communications infrastructure — a third-party provider powers chat, voice rooms, and video. The content of your messages, the audio and video of your calls, and the associated metadata (channel and message IDs, sender and recipient IDs, timestamps, attachments, call participants, and call durations) are processed and stored by this provider so we can deliver these features.
- Payments — a third-party payment processor handles payments and subscriptions for paid plans. We never see or store your full card number.
- AI assistant — when you use the optional in-app AI assistant, the messages and context you send to it are processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a response, under terms that prohibit using your data to train its models.
- Email and notifications — these providers deliver our transactional email (such as sign-in links and verification codes) and route the notifications you've enabled. We share your email address, and for push notifications your device token, with them so they can deliver these messages.
- Monitoring and logging — these providers receive operational and error data (with personal data redacted where feasible) so we can keep the Services reliable and secure.
- Website analytics — our website uses a privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics provider. It does not use cookies to track you across other sites or build advertising profiles.

Optional integrations you connect. If you choose to connect an outside platform to your space (for example, a team-chat tool or an issue tracker), data flows between that platform and Probed at your direction, and that platform's own privacy policy governs how it handles your data.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on infrastructure operated by our service providers, primarily in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We restrict internal access to data on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or your space, we delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. To request deletion, email support@ginyu.io.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below — we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children's Privacy
Probed is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
International Users
By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we'll do our best to notify you in the app or by email.
